Summer Alumni Band

Summer Alumni Band is back! We will begin next week Monday, June 24 from 7-9pm and every Monday after that. We will only have six rehearsals until the concert on Aug 1 at Kahala Mall at 6:30pm. Let me know if you are participating this year.

Students must bring their uniform garment bags and hangers to turn in at their designated meeting areas.

After their performance, students must turn in their concert coats outside of the auditorium where parent volunteers will be collecting them.

Students needed to help clean up and load equipment on truck. Will also need help at Kalani to unload truck.

2013 Marching Band Information

Registration for the 2013 Falcon Marching Band is April 15 - May 15, 2013. Registration materials for returnees will be available soon.

There will be a MANDATORY orientation meeting for all NEW (1st year) marchers on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 6:30pm in the Kalani High School Band Room.

Parent and student must attend if interested in joining marching band. Registration packets for new marchers will be distributed at this meeting.

Spring Concert

To the Freshmen and Junior Band Members

The Refreshment Committee would like your support to bring a snack or light pupu to share with your guests who attend the concert.  Any food donation would be greatly appreciated.  (examples of past concert donations: cookies, brownies, donuts, chips, crackers, sushi, gyoza, won ton, popcorn, pizza, etc.)

Juice and water will be provided by the Band Booster.

Please bring your food donation to the Band Room on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 morning or afternoon. Otherwise, please bring it to the cafeteria when you arrive for the concert.

Wind Ensemble performing at the Wilson Elementary Fun Fair this Saturday, November 17 from 9:30am - 10:30am. Support Wilson Elementary while you are there too!

Christmas Tree Sale

Christmas Tree Sale next week Saturday, November 24 from 8:30am - 1:00pm. Tickets are $60 for a 5 - 6 ft. sheared douglas fir.

STUDENTS & PARENTS:


Please don't forget that all money and unsold tickets are due back by Monday, November 19.
Monetary donations are welcome if you are not able to sell your tickets.

WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS !!!
Parent volunteers will be needed to assist with the following:
    • Supervision of students
    • Tree cutting
    • Traffic control
    • Cashiering.

There will be 2 shifts:
    • Shift 1 - 7:30 am - 11:00 am
    • Shift 2 - 10:30 am - 2:00 pm

If you are able to assist with either shift please contact Val Odani at dst.7@hotmail.com as soon as possible.

Students volunteers will also be needed that day.  A student volunteer list will be posted in the bandroom.  Students, please sign up.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED
We will need at least 2 chainsaws to cut the bottoms of the trees for our customers that day.  If anyone has a chainsaw that can be used that day, please respond to this e-mail as soon as possible.  Also, if anyone has access to a generator that they are willing to let us use that day, please let us know as soon as possible.

REFRESHMENT DONATIONS NEEDED
Lunch will be provided by the band boosters for all of our hard working volunteers that day.  To add to the food provided by the boosters, donations of snacks and breakfast items would be greatly appreciated.  Please respond to this e-mail as soon as possible if you are able to donate any food items for our hard working volunteers.
